What Insightly does

Insightly is a CRM for small and mid-size businesses, started in 2009 by Anthony Smith in Perth, Australia. It later moved to San Francisco, and its LinkedIn page says it has been part of Unbounce since July 2024.

What sets it apart is that project management comes with it. When a deal closes, you can turn it into a project with tasks and owners, instead of copying the details into a second tool.

It sits between a simple contact list and a heavy enterprise system. There are three CRM plans and no permanent free plan, only a 14-day trial on Plus and Professional.

Setup and learning curve

Importing contacts and setting up a pipeline takes a few hours. Linking projects, automation and reports takes a few days to do properly.

Prices show in your local currency where a company lists them. Tools without a local price stay in USD, so do not compare those rows number for number.

Entry prices are for the cheapest paid plan and use each company's own billing basis (annual or monthly, local currency), so compare them as a guide, not a quote.
